Pandora goes pink for breast cancer awareness
World’s leading contemporary jewellery manufacturer, PANDORA has teamed up with various stakeholders to fight the battle against breast cancer which is responsible for thousands of deaths across the globe.
According to cancer.org, about one in eight (12%) women in the US will develop invasive breast cancer during their lifespan listing breast cancer as the second leading cause of cancer death in women.
“Throughout October, PANDORA will go pink to help raise awareness and support for the National Breast Cancer Foundation and New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation,” says Reshmi Singh, retail manageress of Prouds, retailers of PANDORA in Fiji.
She said PANDORA in partnership with its strong network of retailers which Prouds is part of has been actively involved in the ‘Pink Ribbon’ campaign supporting the various organisations through the sale of themed products since 2005. “This year sees the launch of a limited edition gift set featuring delicate earring studs and necklace pendant,” Ms Singh informed. “We encourage PANDORA lovers to come out and support the
battle against breast cancer and help raise awareness with the purchase of the ‘Pink Ribbon’ themed earring studs and necklace pendant.” She said since 1982, PANDORA’s mission is to celebrate women by offering them the opportunity for personal expression through our universe of high-quality and contemporary jewellery at affordable prices and the philanthropic work done to raise breast cancer awareness is a small way of giving back to customers around the globe.
Meanwhile, a special ‘Breast Cancer Awareness’ day has been organised at all Prouds town and city stores on Wednesday, October 5.
“We are playing our part in partnership with PANDORA to raise awareness for breast cancer and wish to invite customers to come and be part of the entire awareness campaign,” Ms Singh said.
“There will be prizes and giveaways on the day as well so come out and make the most of the event.”
