World Cancer Day
Today 11 children and young people in the UK will be diagnosed with cancer and we will be fighting tirelessly to limit the damage cancer causes beyond their health.
The Unity Band® represents strength and unity. It is the icon of World Cancer Day and is a simple way to show your support.
We campaigned, it happened!
On World Cancer Day we also asked you to back our on-going Cancer Costs campaign.
Because of this campaign, and your support, we have formed a new partnership with British Gas to help lighten the load of families' energy bills.
Families told us that they often worry about their energy bills and 62% of parents said that their household energy bills increased and nearly half struggling to pay their energy bills during their child’s treatment.
By working together we managed to influence British Gas. With even more support we can ensure further positive changes for young lives against cancer.
If you haven’t already done so please sign our petition today, stand up for young cancer patients and their families, and ask your friends and family to
sign up too.
You can still get your Unity Band®
Our CLIC Sargent Unity Bands® are still available until 30 April 2017 from our online shop, our high street charity shops or from our partners J D Wetherspoon and Wallis for a suggested donation of £2.
Please stay involved with our fight for young lives against cancer by signing up to our regular e-newsletter or consider giving a regular gift to help fund our fight.
Thank you for joining Team CLIC Sargent to make a bigger impact in transforming the lives of millions who are affected by cancer. The money raised will help support young lives like Seb and his mum Natasha.
Natasha said: "The support from CLIC Sargent while Seb was having treatment was amazing.
"They were just always there for me. Everyone at CLIC Sargent has the time for you."
On World Cancer Day 2017 CLIC Sargent worked with nine other charities to unite the nation in a simple but powerful life changing act – wearing a Unity Band®.
By joining forces we can make a bigger impact in transforming the lives of millions who are affected by cancer.
